I Love Me Some Greens …
… is a community of health enthusiasts evaluating, presenting and blogging on all things gluten free, raw food related and vegan, with a healthy twist of course: you’ll find things like simple recipes (with real, organic foods…nothing fake or processed), politics, tips, trends and more. In short, ilovemesomegreens.com is a health food and lifestyle blog.
We find that it’s much too easy to gravitate towards junk food when following a gluten free and/or vegan diet. No more of that! The information presented here is designed to lend practical guidance and inspiration for anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle. The content is a collection of rants and writings (hopefully, an enjoyable ratio of the two) whereby we help shape a conversation around a greener and more conscious way of living and eating, and its influence on every day life. The thoughts of this blog are those of individuals who fully believe in and practice this way of being. We hope to inspire you too.
Our Food
Our recipes focus on using quality, organic ingredients for meals made from scratch with love. We are allergy free – no nuts, no dairy, no gluten, or soy – always. Most recipes are vegan though, because some use honey and maple syrup, we don’t meet the full definition per se. Almost all recipes can be made in 30 minutes or less. And please have fun … cooking can be fun and we hope that we take some of the fear out of cooking for you.
Who’s That Lady?
That would be me. My name is Rebecca. I am the founder and primary author of I Love Me Some Greens…and I really do love greens. Gluten free since 2006. Vegan since 2012. I dare to dream; to envision a place where people care for the well being of others, where what we say and how we say it matters. I am constantly on a quest for intellectual & physical nourishment, and through this blog it is my hope to share that with you. Over the years “I’ve learned that a nutrient dense, plant-based diet rules, the Standard American Diet (SAD) kills, stress sucks (all life-force), exercise is non-negotiable, joy is utterly contagious, and having fun must be taken seriously” (beautiful isn’t it…but I can’t take credit for that one, this is actually Kris Carr’s mantra which is right on par with my personal foodlosophy.)
Professionally, I am an Online Marketing & Social Media Strategist – someone who specializes in search engine marketing and optimization, blogging and new media engagement. Click to read more about me.
